Belmont Village Senior Communities

When Belmont Village co-founder Patricia Will’s mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in the 1990s, there was a significant shortage of facilities in the U.S. that were equipped to provide its residents with quality memory care.

Belmont Village was born out of a need to fill that void, but it wouldn’t be easy. Will, a former real estate developer, knew she wanted to fuse the elements of nature and nurture, a partnership that would only be bred by forming long-standing relationships with the medical and hospitality communities.

Since the opening of its first location, in Houston, in 1998, the Belmont footprint has expanded into 31 communities across seven states and Mexico City, each offering an array of senior living care options carefully designed by leading experts in gerontology and hospitality and aimed at providing each and every resident with the opportunity to thrive in their later years.

THE BELMONT MISSION & VISION

At Belmont Village, their ambition is clear. Since their founding, their mission has always been — and will continue to be — to serve as a national model for developing and operating assisted living facilities in their nation’s largest metropolitan areas.

They acknowledge this as no small task, but they are steadfast in their pursuit. And they are confident that their locations, facilities, and systems cultivate an environment in which all residents, their families, and Belmont employees and investors are given the freedom and restheirces to learn, grow, and prosper.

Belmont Village is synonymous with unsurpassed quality. They have never striven to be the biggest; instead, they believe that far more important is the standard of being the best, and that’s what drives us every day.

EVERY CARE OPTION IN ONE PLACE

At Belmont Village, they’re here to serve you. Which means they’re also here to adapt to their changing needs and requirements, whether it’s respite care, memory care, assisted living, or independent living. Unlike many retirement communities, though, they house all of their care options under one roof, and that’s significant.

They see no reason why you should have to be transported from one building to another, just to receive a different level of care. This is especially true of couples, who should not have to be separated if one partner’s needs require more extensive care than that of the other.

The Belmont name was founded on a promise of providing more intimate and effective memory care service for all, but from that foundation, their team has excelled in developing programs that benefit those who need minimal assistance or require none at all.

No matter the level of care you require, it would be their honor to lend a helping hand.

LIFE AT BELMONT

With so many immersive activities and programming available, no two days for a resident at Belmont are alike, and they think this is a good thing. Each of their communities is designed to enctheirage gatherings of all sizes, with the one constant being that residents share valuable moments and experiences together.

On Monday, you can try an art class. The middle part of the week, you may prefer to take advantage of their wellness program or consult with a licensed physical or occupational therapist. And to kick off the weekend, join friends on an off-site excursion to enjoy one of the many culinary or cultural delights around town.

Here are just some of the terrific amenities offered at Belmont Village communities:

  • Signature dining experience with more than 20 daily menu items prepared fresh
  • Quaint bistro area that offers daily servings of coffee, tea, and snacks
  • Daily social, fitness, cultural, and educational events
  • Personal transportation services for shopping, doctor appointments, and more
  • Full-service salon and fitness center

Perhaps best of all, the list of amenities at Belmont is always evolving. They take great pride in gathering constant feedback from their residents to improve existing amenities and adding exciting, new items to the list to further enhance the daily living experience.

REWARDING A DEDICATED STAFF

Most retirement communities will tell you that there’s a correlation between employee satisfaction and that of residents. And why wouldn’t this be the case? But there’s a special something that separates the Belmont staff. It’s hard to define, but they know it when they see it, and they do everything they can as an organization to reward the greatness that lies in each of their staff members.

A key ingredient in executing the Belmont mission and vision is identifying and retaining quality people. They want people who are passionate about providing the highest level of senior care possible, but they also want to help their staff members grow as individuals — just as they help their residents realize their potential.

That is why, in addition to a number of health and retirement benefits, Belmont takes pride in offering every employee the chance to further his or her career as a health provider. This includes their Bright Stars Contest, in which staff members are given a platform to submit ideas on how to improve the Belmont experience, and the Rising Stars Initiative, a program that mentors promising employee talent for career growth and skill development.

The BV Cares Fund was established to assist staff members with unexpected financial hardships and has provided much-needed relief in the wake of natural disasters, such as Hurricanes Ike and Harvey, and, most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic.

They believe all of this makes a difference, but they’re happy to say they’re not the only ones. In 2019, the Belmont family was incredibly humbled to have been named to Fortune’s list of The 50 Best Places to Work in Aging Services for the second consecutive year.
