Senior Resource Group

At Senior Resource Group, innovation is driven by the ability to listen. Since its founding more than 30 years ago, the senior healthcare provider has grown to become a leader in the industry, operating more than 30-plus communities across the states of Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, Texas, and Washington under the guidance of one simple principle: listening to residents and their families.

This reciprocation is cultivated within Senior Resource Group’s flagship SynRGy™ program. This program is designed to encourage collaboration between staff and residents, regardless of care level — independent living, assisted living, and memory care — and thus foster a true environment of community.

When a resident moves into an SRG community, staff members take the time to get to know the individual and his or her unique preferences and abilities to match that person with the programs, activities, and services that will maximize the living experience. In turn, this level of intimacy continually keeps staff members engaged and prepares them to provide better service.

A DRIVING SET OF BELIEFS

The team at SRG views senior healthcare as a cause — not a business. What could be better than contributing to the well-being of others?

Everything that’s done at each of SRG’s 32 communities across the country — every meal that’s prepared, class given, or program created — is done with the following beliefs in mind:

  • Life should be rewarding at every stage — and at any age
  • The desire to enhance the human spirit shall be constant amid change
  • It’s what’s on the inside — character, perspective, wisdom — that counts
  • Growing old is growing more enjoyable
  • There’s a science (and an art) to feeling good
  • Each day should provide an itinerary of enriching experiences
  • It’s better to lead than to follow
  • When you see what’s possible, you can go beyond what is expected of you
  • People make all the difference
  • Senior care is cause, but it’s also an unfolding adventure

And this belief system has translated into considerable accolades. In 2014 alone, SRG properties received a total of 14 awards, including several Readers’ Choice Awards for best retirement or active living community and the distinction of being named best in senior living from Caring.com.

Known for their impressive aesthetics, combining modern exteriors and luxury-appointed interiors, other past awards earned by SGR communities include the following:

Senior Living/Healthcare Finalist – Hospitality Design Awards (2013)
Best Independent/Assisted Living Community – National Assoc. of Home Builders (2013)
Best Indoor Common-use Space – National Association of Home Builders (2012)
Ten Best Places To Live – Arizona Foothills Magazine (2012)
Design Environments for Aging 2008 – SAGE & the Center for Health Design (2008)

CARF ACCREDITATION

Senior Resource Group owns the distinction of being the only senior living company in the U.S. to have voluntarily applied for and been awarded accreditation for each of its eligible communities from The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an international not-for-profit organization that accredits providers of human services, including areas of rehabilitation, employment, and child/family and aging services.

Furthermore, each of the accredited SRG communities was awarded the maximum three-year accreditation by CARF, an accomplishment the company likens to earning a sixth star as a hotel.

CARF accredits only those senior living communities who meet or exceed a number of stringent criteria, which includes an internal review performed by the community and on-site survey performed by the commission.

Based on the results of the survey, a written report is provided to the community, at which point it must create and present to CARF a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to illustrate how it plans to resolve any internal issues.
