Atria Senior Living Communities

Founded in 1996, Atria Senior Living is a privately-held operator of monthly rental apartments that house more than 21,000 residents across 26 U.S. states and seven Canadian provinces.

Since its founding, Atria has expanded to manage more than 210 communities across its territories, where residents can choose from a number of living options, including independent and assisted living, memory care, and short-term stays.

Atria residents are tended to by more than 14,000 employees and staff, and their residents enjoy a diverse selection of desirable amenities that include: housekeeping and linen services; scheduled transportation to doctor visits and other appointments; a full calendar of educational, cultural, and entertainment activities; chef-inspired dining options; and full-time maintenance of all apartments and community grounds.

THE ATRIA MISSION

Each of the employees at Atria Senior Living are constantly drawing inspiration from the extraordinary potential of the older adults that they serve every day. As such, they proudly assume the responsibility of providing each of their residents with a vibrant community that reciprocates this unique sense of inspiration — a place where each individual knows his or her contributions are valued and is given the tools and means to thrive to create a positive difference in their world.

The standards of quality are extremely high at Atria Senior Living. Upholding these standards is continually at the forefront of their community mission, and they take pride in the fact that these standards often exceed state requirements.

Through their Quality Enhancement (QE) program, which may be randomly inspected at any one of their locations to ensure full adherence to community guidelines, they thoroughly review as many as 700 factors that comprise daily life at their communities in an effort to ensure that every resident receives the most well-rounded and fulfilling living experience possible.

LIVING ARRANGEMENTS SUITABLE FOR ALL

Atria Senior Living offers a comprehensive array of living options that is perfect for the unique care needs of any senior individual. For those who are still plenty active during daily life, their independent living option provides residents with the perfect mix of self-sufficiency and amenities that add a welcome touch of personal assistance where they are most needed.

Their assisted living services cater to those who may need a little help with activities of daily living (ADLs), and for those who require more extensive assistance, their Life Guidance program gives an opportunity of living an engaging and meaningful life to those suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia, or any type of memory impairment.

Atria also provides a short-stay option at their communities. This option, complete with a private apartment for all residents, is ideal for those seniors who are recording from a surgical procedure or simply want to see what the community life is like.

No matter which option is right for you, they look forward to the prospects of welcoming you to the Atria Senior Living family!

HAPPY STAFF MEANS HAPPY RESIDENTS

Atria Senior Living invests a lot of time and resources into the precious relationship between its staff and residents. Seldom is there a day during which a staff member does not verbally express how enriching it is to serve the residents at his or her community, and this must never be taken for granted; in fact, each instance must be mutually acknowledged and celebrated.

Their staff works very hard to uphold Atria’s standards of quality every day, and that hard work should be rewarded. These rewards are bestowed upon staff members through a number of employee programs, including Atria Rewards®, which since 2007 has paid out more than $102 million to hire staff members in recognition of their service longevity and dedication to resident satisfaction.

For those employees who may encounter an unforeseen hardship, there’s Atria Cares, a 501(c)(3) public charity that has provided more than $2.1 million in emergency financial assistance to some 2,300 Atria employees.

But they at Atria Senior Living are equally invested in their employees’ futures. To date, full-time employees have received more than $4.4 million in tuition reimbursement so that they can pursue their future endeavors with vigor and enthusiasm.

AMENITIES & SERVICES FOR ALL

For most of their lives, their residents have graciously given their time to cater to the needs of others. When they walk through the doors at Atria Senior Living, their goal becomes to return the favor for that selflessness.

No more grocery shopping. No more home maintenance. No more worry about making appointments or preparing meals for the day. Their professional and trained staff prepares each day to serve as a reminder that these days belong to the residents; this is their time.

The best fresh meals their culinary team can prepare. Perfectly-manicured grounds for an early evening stroll. A calendar brimming with entertainment and educational activities. These are all services and amenities that they could not be prouder to offer their community residents, but that pride pales in comparison to joy they feel when they see how happy those residents are when they experience the same care they have so tirelessly provided others for years.

A COMMITMENT TO BEING GREEN

The care options provided at Atria Senior Living are continually improved with their current residents in mind, but they approach the present with a glimpse toward the future. The residents they will have the honor of serving down the road deserve the same level of high quality care, which is why they are committed to making the sustainability of their communities an utmost priority.

The U.S. Green Building Council has designated 10 Atria communities as being LEED Certified™, a nationally-recognized distinction given only to those buildings that are verified to have been designed, constructed, and operated within the framework of several key criteria, including water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and energy and atmosphere.

A proud member of the Council, Atria is committed to applying these best practices for LEED certification to other current and all future communities as an industry leader in the effort to make all senior living care options 100% sustainable for future generations.
